A TEENAGE boy is still in a critical condition in hospital after being hit by a car on his way to school on Monday.
Police have renewed their appeal for information about the incident, which happened at about 8.45am on Clotherholme Road in Ripon, near its junction with Aislabie Garth.
The 14-year-old-boy was walking to school when he was hit by a silver car which stopped at the scene and remained there for some time while emergency services worked and carried out enquiries.
An off-duty police officer was one of the first passers-by to reach the scene, where he administered first aid to the youngster.
