THE tragic tale of William Shakespeare’s star crossed lovers is being retold at Ripon Cathedral this summer – in a unique and compelling production.

One of Shakespeare’s most frequently performed and popular plays – Romeo and Juliet is being staged within the cathedral’s magnificent interior - so that it can be enjoyed whatever the British summer weather may bring!

Brought to you by ‘Three Inch Fools’, a five-strong troupe of actors travelling with set, props, costumes and all manner of musical instruments - the performance is a highly imaginative and vibrantly musical take on the tragic romance.

To date, the company has performed at castles, stately homes, gardens, churches, market places, village greens, an old fire station, a medieval crypt, a crowded pub and a garlic farm – all the world is indeed a stage!

Tickets for the performance on Friday August 11 are available to purchase online through Ripon Cathedral website as well as in the cathedral shop. Only a small number of tickets will be available to purchase on the door, so do book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Children are welcome; the performance is suitable for all ages, and there is a half-price ticket offer for children.

We look forward to you joining us on Friday 11 August!
