MUSIC and food are on the menu with the launch of the new StrEat Food and Family Fun Festival at Newby Hall, near Ripon.

Radio One DJ and TV presenter Scott Mills will headline the event which runs from September 22 to 24.

He will be supported by Five, one of the UK’s biggest boybands alongside Huey Morgan, the front man of the acclaimed Fun Lovin Criminals.

The event will take festival goers and foodie fans on a gastronomic global journey of discovery, combined with a mix of fun, film, current acts and bands on the main stage.

All manner of vehicles from horseboxes and AirStreams to vans and campervans will serve a selection of street food from some 60 traders from around the world.

An artisan market will also feature some 30 producers with handpicked products for visitors to try, buy and take home.

Europe’s largest outdoor cinema will keep movie buffs entertained. The film feast includes Back to the Future, The Lost Boys, The Matrix, The Jungle Book and Jurassic Park.

A weekend ticket for an adult - three days and three nights - will be £60 with children going free.
