HUNDREDS picked up the pace to improve the lives of those living with Parkinson’s with two special charity events starting from Ripley Castle.
More than 110 cyclists took part in Pedal for Parkinson’s, a one-day cycle ride with a choice of a 20, 40 or 60-mile route through Yorkshire’s beautiful countryside.
And alongside the cyclists, 125 people took part in a 1.5, 3 or 11-mile Walk for Parkinson’s to help raise funds for the 127,000 people affected by Parkinson’s across the UK.
The events were organised by Parkinson’s UK, which hopes to have raised more than £21,000 from the day.
Director of fund-raising Paul Jackson-Clark said: “We would like to thank everyone who took part - with every step and every pedal, they will have helped us to continue our search for better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.”
