A POPULAR beauty spot is hoping to entice visitors to help keep it litter-free this Sunday.
The National Trust at Brimham Rocks is appealing for visitors to the rock formations between Pateley Bridge and Ripon to lend a couple of hours of their time to help volunteers litter pick at the spot.
In return, the National Trust will waive its car parking fee.
Michael Bury, site operations manager, said: “Brimham is such a popular place for people to visit, but from time to time, rubbish gets left behind which our rangers and volunteers spend many hours a week clearing.
"This Sunday is a great opportunity for families to come and enjoy a walk around the rocks, but help us to look after the place at the same time. It’s also a call to visitors to dispose of their litter properly and keep the site clean for others.”
Brimham 'Litter Fairies' will be at the car park between 11am and 2pm to offer visitors litter pickers and bin bags.
