THE automotive delights of the classic years of driving and biking are coming to the region.

Ripon Racecourse will be dominated by horsepower of the petrol-powered kind on April 23 when one of the big events on the motoring calendar returns to the city.

Timed to coincide with the annual UK “Drive It” day – which encourages aficionados to have some fun in their vehicles – the Classic Car and Bike Show is back in Ripon for the 14th time.

As well as classics such as MGs, Austin Sevens, Land Rovers and many that are much older, visitors can show off their own classic car or bike, with highlights for visitors including the popular auto jumble, trade stands and more.

Families will also get the chance to get up close and personal to hundreds of vintage vehicles in what is being promoted as “a great day out for everyone.”

Taking place between 10am and 4pm, admission is priced at £6.50 per adult and £2.50 for children.Well behaved dogs on leads welcome. Parking is free and ample parking.

To get to the venue, simply take the A61 to the Ripon bypass and then follow the brown signs to the racecourse.
