YOUNGSTERS are in for a country-style treat this half-term – with the opening of a pop-up farm.

Children will be able to pet and feed a variety of animals including alpacas, lambs, piglets, rabbits and miniature ponies.

And experts will be on hand to help with any questions that the youngsters may have about the cute creatures on show.

The pop-up farm is one of the highlights of a six-day half term event at Lightwater Valley, near Ripon, when elected rides and attractions will be open from 10.30am to 3.30pm daily between February 16 and 21.

General manager Mark Bainbridge said: “We’re really excited to be welcoming the farm animals to Lightwater Valley during half-term.

“The pop-up farm gives families the chance to get up close to some seriously cute animals and offers even more to keep our younger visitors entertained.”

Entrance is £6 per person and tickets must be booked in advance. Free entry is available for season ticket holders and babies under a year old.
