A SINGLE classic car may turn the head of a motoring fan - but a whole convoy will stir the imagination of all adults and children alike.

And on May 3 they will have hundreds to choose from – when Ripon Racecourse trades sound of horses’ hooves for the roar of engines.

Classic car enthusiasts will be pulling on their driving gloves to make their way there for the 12th Ripon Spring Classic Car and Bike Show.

Owners of classic MGs, Triumph Stags, Austin Sevens and Land Rovers and more, will be proudly presenting their treasured vehicles for families and enthusiasts to enjoy.

And for visitors there will be the chance to speak to the exhibitors, pick up a rare or discontinued part, bag a bargain or just enjoy browsing the 500 displays.

Alongside the classic cars, the event showcases large displays of classic motorcycles, vans, trucks, tractors, 4x4s and ex-military vehicles.

Highlights of the show will include an arena with commentary, auto jumble and trade stands.

The event runs from 10am to 4pm. Admission is £6.50 for adults and £2.50 for children.
