ENGINES will purr and paintwork will gleam as a host of classic cars and bikes converge on Ripon next month.

The Spring Classic Car and Bike Show, together with an auto jumble, will be held on the city’s racecourse on May 4 between 10am and 4pm.

It will be a chance to get up close to over 300 classic cars, bikes, vans, trucks, ex-military and commercial vehicles as well as classic Land Rovers.

Organiser Mark Woodward said: “I organise a lot of different shows but I always love the classic car and autojumbles. We are so privileged to be able to drive our pride and joys to some amazing venues. Ripon Racecourse is the perfect place to display these wonderful vintage vehicles.”

Admission is £6 for adults and £2.50 for children.
