IN response to the many letters predicting that the only thing we will import from the USA after Brexit will be chlorine-washed chickens, and antibiotic/hormone injected beef. For goodness sake – you have a choice, as you always have done – buy British.

I have always bought Britishproduced food whenever possible, for years now, and the market is full of large retailers, and independent shops selling highquality meats and poultry amongst a vast array of home-grown produce.

There is absolutely no need to buy from any other country.

Support British farmers, and food producers, stop moaning, and think of the amazing non-food trade deals we will be able to negotiate when we wave goodbye to the EU – having told them that we have cancelled our direct debit of ten per cent of their entire annual income.

Yes, incredible, 27 countries form the EU, and yet we send them ten per cent, what proportion do the other 26 countries contribute?

Little wonder they are horrified we are waving goodbye, and good riddance.
