AN exhibition of work from people who attend an activity-led day centre for adults in Richmondshire will take place this weekend.

The Broadacres-run ABLE - Activity Based Learning Environment - Day Centre on Colburn Business Park has been a hive of activity in recent weeks in preparation for the exhibition, which will take place from 10am to 4pm on March 3 and 4.

With the theme of "Arboreal Beauty", members of the public will be able to view, and buy, work created by people who attend ABLE.

Some of the artists will be present to show people their original work, which includes painting in water colour, wax, stained glass effect and acrylic.

Manager Lynn Tomkinson said: “From the time they arrive to when they leave, the people who attend the centre are involved in a range of engaging and meaningful activities, from arts and crafts to games and social outings.

“The work they do with our support is fantastic and the exhibition is aimed at showcasing this. It will also give people the chance to look around the centre and to ask questions."
