A LONG-RUNNING amateur dramatic society is busy putting the final touches to its forthcoming version of the pantomime Pinocchio.

Dalton Amateur Dramatic Society, which has been running for about 20 years, will give three performances of the show next month at Dalton and Gayles Village Hall, near Richmond.

The first showing will be on Thursday, March 1 at 7.30pm, followed by further evening shows on Friday, March 2 and March 3.

Pam Braithwaite of the Dalton Amateur Dramatic Society said: “This panto includes all the usual characters and mayhem of a good pantomime and tickets are still available, so do come along and watch the frivolities.”

Pinocchio tells the timeless story of a wooden marionette puppet brought to life when his maker Geppetto wishes on a falling star.

As Pinocchio sets out on his adventures, his nose grows longer with each lie he tells.

Tickets for Dalton Amateur Dramatic Society’s performance can now be reserved in advance by calling Ms Braithwaite on 01748 825057.
