TO launch an exhibition of Richmond artist Lucy Pittaway’s work, Brymor Ice Cream hosted a preview evening in their newly-refurbished parlour at High Jervaulx Farm.

A total of 50 invited guests enjoyed drinks and nibbles and were able to meet the artist.

Ms Pittaway has been chosen for the third year as the official artist for Tour de Yorkshire bike race, which passes Brymor on Sunday, May 6.

Her work is inspired by the brighter side of life such as relationships, characters and life experiences.

They often feature sheep, cows, and landscapes, not forgetting of course– cyclists.

She said: “I am delighted to be working with Brymor. It is an honour to be able to showcase my art in their lovely café and parlour where so many tourists and local people come to visit their welcoming venue in the Dales.”

The exhibition of her work at Brymor is free to visit and the venue is open daily.
