A HORSE mad student is embarking on the career of her dreams after winning a place with a national dressage rider and trainer through her college course.
Mollie Cartwright has been studying horse management and was offered a work placement with top rider and dressage expert Melissa Chapman, who has a yard near Richmond. She did so well she's now been invited to join Team Chapman Equestrian. Melissa said: “Mollie came for a month doing everything from mucking out, to cleaning tack to riding out. She was absolutely brilliant. I could tell straight away she loved horses and was confident and comfortable with them, plus she's hard working, helpful and totally reliable. She's come back every holiday and fits in really well."
Mollie who studied at the Penrith campus of Askham Bryan College hopes to ride professionally eventually.
