RESIDENTS of a North Yorkshire village have been busy making their community extra attractive.
People of Tunstall near Catterick have been making their gardens look extra special to welcome visitors to their Open Gardens event on July 22 and 23..
This year there is a “boot trail” featuring planted and decorated boots for visitors to see as they walk around the village.
Holy Trinity C hurch will be open and decorated with flowers - on a theme of “All things bright and bootiful” - and visitors can see the local "Tiger"community garden project in progress.
The gardens are open from noon until 5pm each day. Entrance is £4. Refreshments and delicious homemade cakes will be available.
On the Saturday evening there will be a music concert and barbeque at the village hall starting at 7pm. Entrance is by donation.
