MORE than 300 members and supporters of Wensleydale Rugby Club enjoyed a Summer Ball at Tennant’s in Leyburn.
The guests enjoyed a three-course meal, an auction with prizes including international rugby match tickets followed by a disco into the night.
Money raised from the auction is thought to be in the region of £3,000 which will go back into club funds.
Club member and organiser of the event, Kate Loughlin, said: “It was a really good night, I think everybody really enjoyed it.”
Ms Loughlin added that plans are already underway for a similar event at Tennant’s next year which will celebrate the club’s 50th anniversary.
A date of September 29 has been pencilled in for the 2018 ball.
