MEMBERS of a Richmondshire-based choir who rehearse at a cinema are hoping to break box office records when they perform their next charity show.

On Saturday, April 8, The Station Singers will perform their annual spring charity concert in St Mary’s Church, Richmond.

This year’s beneficiaries will be Herriot Hospice Homecare and St Teresa’s Hospice.

The Station Singers, who rehearse at the Station, Richmond, have been busy preparing for the concert, which will feature songs from around the world, including everything from classical music to rock.

Such is the popularity, there are three separate, but aptly named, sections of The Station Singers– Platform One, Platform Two and The Branch Line."

The Station Singers’ musical director Carol Gedye said: “The Station is a great venue, but it’s fantastic when we perform in the fabulous acoustics of St Mary’s.

The concert will start at 7.30pm with doors opening at 7pm. Tickets are priced £8 if bought in advance and £10 on the door. Tickets can be purchased from Castle Hill Bookshop, Richmond and Herriot Hospice Homecare charity shop in Northallerton.
