A CLASSIC car annual charity drive has raised £860 for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
The event, which saw 35 classic cars go for a 95-mile run around the Yorkshire Dales on Sunday, September 18, was raising cash in memory of Gordon Bulmer.
Mr Bulmer had been a long-standing member of the Yorkshire Dales Classic Car and MG Owners Club, and this year the Dales Trail was in honour of him.
The club was formed in 2002, initially for MG owners but it now accept all makes of classic car.
Its 30 members meet monthly at Romanby Golf Club, and the Dales Trail is an annual event open to all clubs across the country and is a charity event with a different charity each year.
Cars included MG, Jowett, and a replica SS Jaguar. Mr Bulmer’s MG was driven by his son, Stuart, and a cheque with the fundraising total has now been presented to him.
