A HISTORY of hats and headdresses will be on display at the Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond next week.

Styles from the Georgian period will be explained by women's and theatrical milliner Claire Spooner, and the event on Wednesday, October 5 at 7.30pm will also explain how they were made.

She said: "The Georgian era with its sub-period of Regency is known for its elaborate hairstyles and headwear. During the evening I will be exposing some millinery secrets and revealing tips to re-creating some of the styles."

The free talk will be held in the theatre’s new Paul Iles Learning Centre on Friars Wynd. Anyone interested should book with Susie Wood at the Georgian Theatre Royal on 01748-823710 or email susie.wood@georgiantheatreroyal.co.uk.
