A TRADITIONAL pub in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales has gone on the market for just over half a million pounds.
Darren and Emily Abbey, who have run The Farmers Arms, in Muker, Swaledale, since 2010 said they have reluctantly decided to sell the pub.
Mr Abbey said: "The Farmers Arms is just as successful and profitable than ever, but we feel the time is right to hand the baton of ownership to someone else, someone who will hopefully fall as much in love with the pub and Swaledale as we have, who will continue with its success, and who will uphold the local traditions.
“For now though, it’s business as usual, continuing to run a pub that we love in an area that we adore.”
It is on the market at an asking price of £575,000.
