TWO people had to be treated for smoke inhalation after a fire thought to have been caused by a discarded cigarette.
The incident, shortly after 3am today, Sunday, took place in the living room of a home on Hawthorne Avenue in Scotton, near Richmond.
Fire crews from Colburn and Richmond attended and used four sets of breathing apparatus as they tackled the fire with two hose reel jets.
