A66 closed between Scotch Corner and Brough due to strong winds
THE A66 has reopened between Scotch Corner and A685 junction near Brough after it was closed for several hours on Wednesday due to strong winds.
Motorists intending to use the route were advised to use alterative trans-Pennine crossings including the M62 and the A69 which both remained open.
