THREE Northern artists are exhibiting a collection of photography, art and sculpture inspired by the great British countryside.

The Coach House at Middleton Lodge, near Richmond is welcoming back husband and wife artists David and Sarah Cemmick and photographer Tracy Kidd, who will be displaying their “2nd Editions” collection of work at the hotel and restaurant.

The exhibition will run from Thursday, December 3 until Wednesday, December 9 and follows on from the success of their debut last June, which saw hundreds of visitors view the artwork.

One display will be work by sculptor David Cemmick and print-maker Sarah Cemmick, heavily influenced by rural England and renowned for their portrayal of the roaming wildlife surrounding their Cumbrian home.

Sarah discovered her love of lino printing while studying environmental illustration at Sunderland University, while David produces paintings and sculptures working from original field sketches, with his wax sculptures cast as limited edition bronzes.

Their work will be complimented by the work of Darlington photographer Tracy Kidd, whose photography captures the British countryside and its traditions.

James Allison, owner of The Coach House at Middleton Lodge, said: “We have some extremely talented people in the region and we are dedicated to providing a unique platform for artists, craftsman and other creative individuals from our local community and beyond.”

The Coach House is hosting a Meet the Artists’ preview of the exhibition on Thursday, December 3, from 5pm till 9pm, and Friday, December 4, from 12 noon till 9pm.
