A CHARITY that gives work and training to vulnerable adults is seeking volunteers to help knit jumpers for four-legged friends.

Just the Job in Richmond is looking for volunteers to help knit dog jumpers.

The organisation is a not for profit social enterprise and charity, which aims to provide employment, education, work-based training and social opportunities for vulnerable adults.

Steve Biggs, manager of Just the Job, said: “We have to be imaginative in looking for ways to raise funds, and one of our volunteers came up with the idea of knitting jumpers for dogs.

"“It’s a great idea but we think that our volunteer might need a little help with the orders we are getting.”

Anyone willing to volunteer to help the charity, or who would like to buy one of the jumpers, can contact Linda Curran at Richmondshire Community and Voluntary Action on volunteercentre@virginmedia.com or 01748 822335.
