A DISABLED boy was left with minor facial injuries and a woman is believed to have damaged her spine after a car accident in North Yorkshire on Thursday evening.
Police, fire crews and paramedics attended the A66 at Ravensworth, near Richmond, at about 5.45pm following reports of a two-car collision in which one vehicle ended up on its roof.
On arrival, they discovered one of the cars had been towing a caravan and had collided with an electricity pylon, snapping it in two.
A disabled boy, aged about 12, suffered minor facial injuries and was helped from the back of his parents’ car by firefighters.
He and his parents were taken to hospital in a road ambulance for a check up, along with the 50-year-old male driver of the other car who suffered no visible injuries.
His passenger, a 52-year-old woman, suffered suspected spinal injuries and was also taken to hospital by ambulance.
