A SOLDIERS charity is joining forces with a North Yorkshire assault course company in order to bolster the charity’s profile with people taking part in activities at the site.
ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, which provides much-needed support to soldiers, veterans and their families, has teamed up with Adrenalin North Yorkshire Limited, based on the Aske Estate, near Richmond.
The partnership aims to promote and raise funds for the charity whilst also raising the profile of one of the business’ events, the Adrenalin Rush.
Adrenalin Rush is an off-road trail race and assault course, and takes place over rugged North Yorkshire Dales terrain with a 24-obstacle assault course to finish.
Spokesman for the charity, Major Barney Barnbrook, acknowledged the growing trend of challenge events and was pleased the charity could work with another local business while raising much-needed funds.
Owner of Adrenalin North Yorkshire and former Parachute Regiment soldier, Will Scullion, said he was delighted to offer a challenge event on Richmond’s doorstep and to assist the charity.
The next race takes place on Saturday, April 12and will be officially started by Lance Bombardier Ben Parkinson MBE, the British Army's most injured survivor of the Afghanistan conflict.
Registration is now open at www.adrenalinnylimited.co.uk for both team and individual entry.
