A RACEHORSE trainer and her legendary jockey husband are celebrating after winning an award for a luxury log cabin development in North Yorkshire.

Ann and George Duffield’s development, at their Sun Hill stables in Constable Burton, near Leyburn, has been named as one of the finest in the north of England by Hoseasons Holidays.

Dan Cook, national brand manager for Hoseasons, said: “The Duffields deserve massive congratulations on winning this award. It really is a fantastic achievement.

“The feedback indicated that Sun Hill’s customer service was exceptional and fully deserved to be named as one of the three best lodge locations in the whole of the north of England.”

Ann Duffield said: “We are thrilled by this award. We have worked tremendously hard to make our log cabins luxurious and welcoming and to get this prestigious accolade makes us very proud.”

Sun Hill, which opened for business last October, has cost more than £700,000 and has been supported by a 35 per cent grant from the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
