THE Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond is launching its pantomime season with a ticket offer to welcome its first audiences.

Puss in Boots starts its four-week run on Saturday, December 6 and for the first weekend’s shows, all adult tickets are £12 with children’s tickets at £9.

There are two preview shows on Saturday, December 6 at 2pm and 7pm and a further two preview performances on Sunday, December 7 at 1pm and 5pm.

Puss in Boots is already breaking box office records with many of the 49 performances already heavily booked but there are still seats available on all dates.

The script has been written specially for the Georgian Theatre’s historic stage by renowned panto expert and historian Tony Lidington, who is also directing the show. It makes full use of the theatre’s intimate auditorium and original Georgian features such as the trap doors and lofty Juliet boxes.

Puss in Boots is set in the early rock and roll years of the 1950s and 60s and is full of catchy songs, sharp banter, lively dance routines and good old-fashioned family humour. There will be evil scientists, crazed robots, deliciously scary monsters and even a trip to outer space.

Tickets for all performances, including the four preview shows, can be bought in person at the box office; by calling 01748-825252 or via the theatre’s website on www.georgiantheatreroyal.co.uk.
