RIDERS and their hounds took to the great outdoors on Saturday to mark the first weekend of the hunting season.

Members of the Zetland Hunt made their way from their kennels in Richmond, North Yorkshire, to the village of Headlam, in Teesdale, County Durham, yesterday (Saturday, November 1) led by huntsman David Dukes.

The Zetland Hunt covers an area of about 20 square miles of the County Durham and North Yorkshire boundary.
