POLICE are appealing for witnesses after camping equipment was stolen from a market town store.

A sleeping bag and roll mat were taken after a manhole cover was thrown through the window of the Mountain Warehouse shop in Richmond.

The burglary took place sometime between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.

Crime scene investigators examined the shop on Thursday.
