A 13-year-old pedestrian was airlifted to hospital after being involved in a collision with a car in Leyburn, North Yorkshire, on Saturday (September 6).
The Great North Air Ambulance was called at about 10.30am to help treat the girl after Yorkshire Ambulance Service called for assistance after she was found to have suffered head and pelvic injuries.
A doctor with the air ambulance carried out as assessment at the scene and decided to fly her to the nearest Major Trauma Centre, at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough.
She was flown to the hospital in 12 minutes. Her condition on arrival was stable and her injuries are not believed life-threatening.
