A HERITAGE railway is looking for volunteers to ensure it stays on track for the future.
The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is a charitable organisation run as part of the local community. Day-to-day operation is carried out by volunteers who focus on improving the quality of the infrastructure, the railway vehicles and passenger experience.
A volunteer recruitment morning is being held on April 9 on platform two of Pickering Station between 9.30am and noon for people to find out how they can get involved in a wife variety of roles.
General manager Chris Price said: “We are reliant on volunteers and without their support and dedication the railway would not be able to operate.”
