CHILDREN can meet Santa and a herd of baby reindeers when they join the Santa Express this Christmas.
The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is inviting youngsters to join Father Christmas and his special helpers on a festive journey throughout December.
Departing from Pickering, Grosmont and Whitby stations, the Santa Specials give children the chance to meet the man himself in his grotto on board the atmospheric steam train.
Passengers travelling from Grosmont will also have the chance to meet a small herd of real reindeer calves, which will be visiting the station.
The festive trip lasts approximately an hour from the departure station and each Santa Express Ticket includes a mince pie and warming hot drink.
