A NUMBER of air rifles have been stolen after a gun club was broken into in North Yorkshire.
The thieves targeted Thimbleby Shooting Ground, which lies on the Thimbleby estate between Northallerton and Stokesley, at some point overnight between 5pm on Thursday, October 13 and 8am on Friday.
The gun club offers clay and game shooting to the public on land near Osmotherley.
An unspecified number of air rifles were stolen and North Yorkshire Police are now investigating.
Last month thieves stole a clay pigeon trap from Thimbleby Hall after forcing open an electric gate.
Anyone with information is asked to ring police on 101, quoting reference number 12160186920.
