A COLLISION closed the B1257 at Newgate Bank, north of Helmsley om Monday afternoon.
The crash, involving a motorcycle, led to the rider suffering a suspected broken leg. Deer were running in the area at the time.
Police teams, ambulances and an Air Ambulance helicopter attended the scene. Police urged drivers to seek a different route to avoid delays.
The B1257 was reopened around 5pm.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police Road Policing Group tweeted: "Bambi x3 were seen by witnesses running across the road. Officers been to see the rider in hospital who is doing well."
