A BOUTIQUE hotel and restaurant has created a spooky charity cocktail to raise cash for Yorkshire Air Ambulance this Halloween.

The Wensleydale Heifer, in West Witton near Leyburn, will donate 50 per cent of the Halloween Diablo sales to the charity.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance charity has to raise £12,000 per day to maintain the helicopters as well as keeping them up in the air.

The brains behind the Halloween charity cocktail is The Wensleydale Heifer’s Vince Bako, who was keen to create a fun, ghoulish yet flavorsome drink.

Mr Bako said: “We wanted to create a special Halloween cocktail that will make our customers get into the spooky spirit while helping us to contribute to this extremely important charity.

“Our Halloween Diablo charity cocktail mixes sour lime and sweet oranges, with a kick of tequila.”

David Moss, owner of The Heifer, added: “It’s fantastic that our team is so keen to help support a charity that is so meaningful to the Yorkshire region.”
