ORGANISERS of the 61st Huttons Ambo Flower and Produce Show, near Malton, said there had been a fantastic effort from villagers.
The show, which took place in the village hall on Saturday, saw 322 adult entries and 34 from children.
A spokesman for the organising committee said as usual there was a great array of fruit and veg – large marrows and amusingly shaped vegetables.
"There were 356 entries in total which is a fantastic effort from our village of only 130 households," he said.
"Despite the poor weather in show week the flower section looked a picture and our ‘flower arrangement in an unusual container’ class let our florists be truly inspired."
The spokesman said that the show also saw a record 54 entries into the photographic classes and the cup- cakes and paper mache monsters from the under 16s were particularly colourful and imaginative.
"Rector Taff Morgan presented the prizes and a fantastic tea and post show party followed," he said.
"It was a great day for the village – thanks to everyone who entered, supported, attended and to the committee and volunteers on the day."
