POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was serious injured in a collision on the North York Moors.
The smash happened at around 1.40pm on Sunday, August 17, on the A169 between Pickering and Whitby at Saltersgate Bank.
It involved a silver Kia Picanto, which was travelling towards Whitby, and a black Harley-Davidson motorcycle, heading towards Pickering.
As a result a 55-year-old woman from Strensal, near York, suffered serious injuries and was taken to the James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, where she remains in a stable condition.
The road was closed for a short time following the collision.
