STUNNING wildlife images are on show all this month during an exhibition of work inspired by the North York Moors.

The Nature in the Spotlight exhibition opened at the Inspired by... gallery in Danby, North Yorkshire on February 1 and will run until March 3.

The display includes work by artist Andrew Hutchinson, known for his highly detailed portrayals of the natural world.

He takes his inspiration from the North York Moors and recently completed a series of paintings for Taylor’s of Harrogate which were used to illustrate packaging for Yorkshire Tea.

The award-winning photographer Steve Race, from Scarborough, will also be exhibiting some of his work.

His image of two gannets taken at Bempton Cliffs in Yorkshire was commended in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year and the British Wildlife Photographer of the Year awards.

Coastal scenes by artist Rosie Dean, inspired by the coastal spaces of the North York Moors are also on display.

The Inspired by… gallery is based at The Moors National Park Centre, Danby which is open from 10.30am to 4pm with free entry. The centre and gallery are open on weekends only until February 17, when they open daily.
