A CHARITY fundraiser has completed her bid to cycle 160 miles on an exercise bike.
Jess May, 28, chose the distance as it is the same as the women's Tour de Yorkshire event.
She covered the distance over three days earlier this month at Daisy Doodle Paint a Pot Parlour in Northallerton, making more £700 for Sport Relief and raising awareness of mental health issues in the process.
Jess was encouraged throughoutby friends and colleagues who helped to create as realistic an experience as possible. As she (virtually) travelled along the Tour de Yorkshire route staff checked the weather forecast and, if it was raining, sprayed her with water.
An exhausted Jess said: "I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who has kept me going throughout the three days, with special thanks to Michelle Peverley-Fox and all at Daisy Doodle for allowing me to take up space in the shop."
