DISTILLERS are preparing for the return of a pop-up gin festival.

The Little Gin and More Festival in Northallerton will feature gin, vodka and rum from all over the world.

The same company held a gin festival last September – the first of its kind in the town.

Louise Walker, one of its organisers, said: “The Little Gin Festival Company came from the realisation that living in small towns we often seemed to miss out on events without having to travel.

“As we have several years experience in event organising and raising money for charities we thought we'd combine the two.

“Our aim is also to partner groups in fundraising for their own charities, be it schools, village halls or any group that would benefit from raising money and reducing the risk and cost of a fundraising event.”

The festival allows people to meet local distillers and sample some of their products.

Guests will be handed a souvenir glass, brochure and pen to fill in notes about the different drinks on offer.

The Little Gin and More Festival will be held on Saturday, March 24, at Northallerton Town Hall.

Tickets are available to over-18s for £9 at www.eventbrite.com. Sales end on Tuesday, March 20.

Any unsold tickets will be £12 on the door.
