Sarah Collins and Keep the Faith performed at the Northern Soul and Motown night in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance at the Troubadour, Northallerton
A FUNDRAISING event generated almost £3,000 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
The Motown and Northern Soul night at the Troubadour Star Precinct in Northallerton on Friday, September 29 featured acts including Sarah Collins and nine-piece band Keep the Faith.
Organisers said it raised £2,900, with money still coming in, and have thanked all those who attended, as well as the many people and businesses who donated prizes.
Lin Stead, community fundraiser for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, said: “The money raised will go a long way to keep providing this lifesaving rapid response service to five million people across Yorkshire. The charity needs to raise £12,000 per day to keep both of Yorkshire’s air ambulances in the air.”
