A DAY centre run by the Alzheimer’s Society is holding a week of activities and inviting people to become a Dementia Friend.
Bluebell House in Northallerton has planned the events in Northallerton to mark Dementia Awareness Week 2017.
On Wednesday, May 17, they will be inviting people to find out more about dementia from a stall on Northallerton market, outside the Town Hall. The organisation will also be holding an open afternoon at their premises at Unit 22, on Omega Business Village in Northallerton, when they will be running Dementia Friends Sessions at Thursday, May 18, from 12.30pm until 2.30pm.
Anyone can attend the free sessions and become a Dementia Friend by gaining an understanding of what it’s like to live with dementia and how to support people during everyday life.
