A WOMAN'S hair extension was held "as a trophy" following a fight on a train, say police.

The incident happened on board the 6.33pm Manchester Airport to Middlesbrough Transpennine Express Service on Saturday, February 25.

"A fight broke out on the train at around 9pm when it was stationary at Northallerton railway station," said a spokesman for British Transport Police.

"The victim, a 25-year-old woman, sustained a scratch to her head.

"Four people have been arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of affray. These are four men aged 53, 59, 34 and 29, all from Stockton-on-Tees. They have been bailed until 19 March.

"Officers would like to speak to the woman shown in the CCTV image as she may have information which could help with the investigation."
