A TALENTED young dancer is celebrating after being selected to represent the country at the Dance World Cup in Germany this summer.

Connie Fisher, 12, of Brompton has been dancing since the age of three and has recently finished an 18-month stint in Billy Elliot at the West End.

The youngster is the current British Juvenile Modern Champion and her talents have caught the attention of Team England.

She has become one of only two children chosen to represent England in the Children’s Modern Contemporary section at the Dance World Cup in Germany this June after scoring the highest marks in her competition section.

The contest will see Connie pit herself against some of the best young dancers in the world and her family is appealing for sponsorship from local businesses to ensure that the youngster can realise her World Cup dream.
