THE Neon Nights running club in Northallerton has held a number of friendly runs to show their support for a campaign which aims to improve mental health through running.
The idea is to get people talking about mental heath, share their experiences and remove the stigma attached to it.
It also aims to support people experiencing mental health problems to be physically active through running either by helping them get started or encouraging them to return to running or keep running.
“It was fantastic to see so many people taking part throughout the week,” said Hambleton’s development officer for health and well-being, David Earl.
“Community running groups like Neon Nights give everyone the opportunity to come along and run.”
