PARENTS and members of a swimming club swapped their goggles for trainers to raise much needed funds.
The group from Northallerton Amateur Swimming Club, which trains at the town’s Hambleton Leisure Centre, took part in the Tees Pride 10k and 3k runs.
The events were held in Middlesbrough on Sunday, September 4.
The five parents and four junior members all completed their races, and their efforts raised a total of £1,080 for club funds through sponsorship from friends and family.
The money will go towards paying for new club trophies, and replacing several which have not been returned by winners over the years.
