A VILLAGE has enlisted the help of spray-painted pavement slogans in its battle against dog fouling.
The parish council at Romanby, near Northallerton, is working with the district’s dog warden Dave Granger and using stencils to leave the message “Bag it bin it” in hotspot streets throughout the area.
The spray signs are made using a chalk-based temporary paint, which washes off in the rain.
“We want to show our residents we are taking dog fouling seriously,” said local councillor Kevin Hardisty.
“We are determined to do all we can to shame dog owners who don’t pick up after their pets.”
