A PARISH council has launched a new-look website to highlight all the services available to residents and information for visitors to the village.

The website for Romanby Parish Council, romanby-pc.gov.uk, will feature details of the workings of the council’s committees and working groups, councillor contact details, financial records and updates of how residents council tax precept is being spent.

It also details the expanding number of community organisations in Romanby, such as schools, faith groups, and the Women’s Institute.

The website is also the portal for the joint parish council, Heritage Lottery Fund and Romanby Remembers project, which is dedicated to providing the garden restoration and improvements and the online historical archive for the memorial garden.

Parish council chairman Stuart Bradnam said the new-look website would become an important part of the authority’s communications strategy.

He said: “Romanby is a thriving community and we want to help people be aware of what’s on offer locally, and how the parish council supports our residents.

“By bringing all of our information together in one place, in a clear, easy to use and intuitive website, it will hopefully be of great value to residents and new visitors alike.

“It provides transparency for everything we do as a parish council, and an easy means for residents to communicate ideas and issues with us, enabling us to respond to in much more timely fashion. I would encourage all Romanby residents to visit and bookmark the site as soon as possible.”
