BARNARD CASTLE: Thursday, November 5. Cross Lanes Farm. Gates open and refreshments served from 6pm, bonfire to be lit at 6.30pm and fireworks at 7pm. Admission is £6.50 for adults, £4.50 for children and £20 for a family.

BARNARD CASTLE: Saturday, November 7. Barnard Castle Meet’s Magical Bonfire Night at Green Lane Primary School. From noon, quiet ‘twinkle’ show at 6pm followed by Hogwarts Express bonfire being lit at 6.15pm and fireworks at 7pm. Admission is £5 for adults, £2 for children and £12 for a family ticket.

BEAMISH: Friday, November 6. Beamish Hall Hotel, Bonfire lighting at 7pm, fireworks 7.30 pm. Free entry. Live music from the Revolutionaires at 9pm. Limited parking on site.

BEAMISH MUSEUM: Thursday, November 5. Museum is open from 6pm with the bonfire lit at 7pm and fireworks from 7.30pm. Admission £5 or free for the under threes.

BISHOP AUCKLAND: Friday, November 6. Auckland Castle. Doors open at 5.30pm. Twinkle show for children at 6pm, followed by main show at 7pm. Admission is free.

BRANDON: Friday, November 6. Brandon Cricket Club, Brandon Lane. Open from 4pm, with fireworks at 7.30pm. Tickets for adults £2.50, children and OAPs £1.50, pushchairs free. Fireworks, fun fair, face painting, DJ, licensed bar and refreshments.

BRANDON: Saturday, November 7. Field to the rear of East Farm, Brandon Village. Opens from 5pm with bonfire lighting at 6pm.

CHESTER-LE-STREET: Saturday, November 7. Chester-le-Street Cricket Club. Gates open at 4.40pm with display beginning at 6pm. Tickets cost £4 for adults whereas children and OAPs are £2.Advanced pre-purchase recommended to avoid queues.

CONSETT: Thursday, November 5. Consett Fire Station on Villa Real Road. Opens at 6.45pm, with fireworks at 7pm and bonfire lighting at 7.30pm. Free entry. Call 01207-504236 for more information.

CROOK: Friday, November 6. The grounds behind St Cuthbert’s Centre. The event starts at 6pm and admission is £1. There will be sparklers, fireworks, hot dogs and refreshments available.

DARLINGTON: Monday, November 9. The Foresters Arms, Coatham Mundeville. Bonfire lighting at 6.30pm, firework display at 7pm. Admission is £4 adults, £2 children.

FRAMWELLGATE MOOR: Saturday, November 7. Framwellgate Moor School. Gates open from 6pm with firework display at 8pm. Tickets for adults £5, children £3, family £14. NEWTON AYCLIFFE: Thursday, November 5. Oakleaf Sports Complex. Gates open at 5.30pm, beacon lit at 7pm followed by fireworks. Residents only event and wristband is needed to gain entry. They can be collected at Oakleaf Sports Complex on Tuesday, November 3 from 4.30pm to 8pm. Proof of address, such as a driving licence or utility bill, required. Contact 01325-300600.

PETERLEE: Thursday, November 5. Helford Road play fields, Peterlee. From 6pm. Children’s entertainer and food stalls. Call 0191 586 2491 for more information.

SADBERGE: Thursday, November 5, November 5. Town Farm Field. Starts at 6.30pm. Free entry but a donation of £2 per adult is suggested to event organisers, the Friends of Sadberge Festival, who pay for the fireworks.

SEAHAM: Friday, November 6. Seaham Harbour. Starts at 7pm. Entertainment, fire-eaters, funfair and food stalls.

SEDGEFIELD: Thursday, November 5. Hardwick Hall Hotel. Gates open at 6pm and fireworks begin at 7pm. Entry is £4 for adults and free for children.

SPENNYMOOR: Thursday, November 5. High Whitworth football field, opposite Jubilee Park. Entry from 6pm, fireworks start at 6.15pm. Free entry but ticket-only. Tickets available at Spennymoor Town Council, in the town hall.

STANLEY: Wednesday, November 4. South Causey Inn. Bonfire lighting at 6pm with firework display at 6.30pm. Outside bar & barbecue. Free entry.

USHAW MOOR: Saturday, November 7. Ushaw Moor Cricket Club, Highfield Terrace. Open from 4pm with fireworks starting at 6pm. Tickets for adults £1, OAPs and children 50p. Refreshments available. In partnership with Brandon and Byshottles parish council.

WEARDALE: Friday, November 6. Weardale Young Farmers bonfire celebration at White House Caravan site, Eastgate. Fire lit at 6.30pm followed by fireworks at 7pm. Entry is £1.

WITTON GILBERT: Saturday, November 7. Clink Bank Field. From 6pm. Bonfire lit at 6.30pm, followed by fireworks.

NORTH YORKSHIRE

APPLETON WISKE: Saturday, November 7. From 5pm at the Playing Fields. Free entry, with refreshments and hot food available. Bonfire and firework display in aid of Appleton Wiske Pre-School. X. Bonfire lighting scheduled for 5.30pm, with fireworks due to begin at 5.45pm.

BEDALE: Saturday, November 7, Bedale Hall Park. Fire lit at 6.15pm , fireworks at 7pm. Admission-Free with collection for future events.

HAWES: Friday, November 6, Hawes Community Field, 6.30pm. Bonfire and fireworks display. Free admision, although donations requested.

LEYBURN: Thursday, November 5. The Shawl, Leyburn. Starts 6pm. Free admission.

NORTHALLERTON: Thursday, November 5. Northallerton Community Firework display at Applegarth. Fire lit at 6.30pm. Free entry.

REETH: Thursday, November 5, Village Green. Admission free with collection for future events. Judging of guys at 6pm, bonfire 6.30pm.

RICHMOND: Thursday, November 5, Richmond School. Gates open at 6pm. Display starts ay 7pm. Donations n entry.

THIRSK: Saturday, November 7, Thirsk Racecource. Gates open at 5.30pm. Family £8 two adults and two children, Adults £4, 12 to 15 yrs £2, Under 11s free. Former member of Journey South performing.

RIPON: Thursday, November 5. The Bivouac, Druids Temple. Starts 6pm. Free to prebook, £3 on the night.

TEESSIDE

THORNABY: Wednesday, November 4. Thornaby Cricket Club. Gates open at 5.30pm, display at 7.15pm. £2 adults, £1 children. No on-site parking.

STOCKTON: Thursday, November 5. Sci-fi themed fireworks display at Stockton Riverside. Opens at 6pm, finishes at 8pm. Free entry.

SKINNINGROVE: Thursday, November 5. Skinningrove Beach. Starts at 6.30pm, fireworks at 7pm, bonfire lit at 7.30pm. There are road closures from about 5.30pm and parking is limited so people are advised to get there early. The event is free but donations are welcome to help fund any future displays.

ACKLAM: Thursday, November 5. Acklam Rugby Club, Saltersgill Lane, off Ladgate Lane, Acklam, Middlesbrough. Gates open 6pm. Bonfire lit 7.30, fireworks shortly after. Tickets are £10 per family, or £5 for adults and £3 for children, available from the clubhouse or pay cash on the night. Overflow car parking at Trinity College further down the lane. Sparklers will be available.

HARTLEPOOL: Thursday, November 5. From 4.30. Pirate-themed display. Live music from 5pm at the clock tower, fireworks 6.30pm. Free. Park and Ride from Hartlepool’s Maritime Experience every 15 minutes from 5pm, £1.50 adults.

MIDDLESBROUGH: Thursday, November 5. Middlesbrough Rugby Club, Green Lane, from 6.30pm. £5 adults, £3 children.

GUISBOROUGH: Saturday, November 7. Guisborough Cricket Club, Rectory Lane. Opens at 6pm. Fairground rides, face painting, balloon modelling, and food. Family £9, adult £3.50, £2.

TYNE AND WEAR

GATESHEAD: Thursday, November 5. Saltwell Park hosts huge firework display and live music. Gates open at 5.30pm and firework display starts at 7.30pm. Cost is £2 per wristband.

GOSFORTH: Saturday, November 7. Gosforth Round Table, Broadway West Playing fields.Gates open at 6.15pm with bonfire and firework display commencing from 7pm. Tickets for adults are £4 whereas for children they are £2. All proceeds go to local charities and good causes.

HETTON-LE-HOLE. Thursday, November 5. Hetton Lyons Cricket Club. Gates open at 6pm with display commencing at 7pm. Tickets are £3 for adults and £2 for children.

NEWCASTLE: Sunday, November 8. Newcastle Cricket Club, Jesmond Osborne Avenue. Gates open at 5pm with entertainment commencing at 5.45pm and fireworks commencing at 7pm.

SUNDERLAND: Thursday, November 5. Ashbrooke Sports Club, West Lawn. Gates open from 6pm with firework display commencing from 7.30pm. Tickets are priced at £6 per person.
